Welcome to Chestnut Pictures blogsite that combines both our blog and our website to showcase our galleries. We are wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Eventhough we are based in KL, that doesn't mean we don't accept clients that is not in KL! We love travelling and it's our honor and inspiration to capture the moments in a new place. Not limited to weddings, we enjoy capturing the outdoors of the beautiful world and also animal portraiture photography! Yes we are very-animal Friendly :)

Tribute to Little Seychel…Binky Free little angel!

I (Miss Chestnut) was shocked by the news…

Last night..Mr Chestnut’s call woke me up from my slumber…my early unintentional slumber in front of the tele! He said…Seychel is gone
Hearing this..well..being me..very very sensitive to animals…I then cried…
I’ve always been a very emotional soul when it comes to animals…but I couldn’t help it…I can even cry watching Animal Planet animal rescue team..or maybe a baby elephant story…a panda survival story…it just bring tears to my eyes…even when reading books about animal true story…

Who is Seychel? I have never met her in person..but just by looking at her pictures…I can certainly tell that she is loved in every way by Tim and Tim was such a good ‘daddy’ to her…
I fell in love with all of his buns..just by looking at the pictures…LOL…and of course..fell in love with Seychel too!

You will always be loved and remembered...Binky Free in Rainbow Bridge

Isn’t she adorably cute? It is hard and demotivating when a bunny fell sick..it’s hard to cure them…being the prey..they tend to hide their sickness..and we human only know it when they are not acting like themselves! Which is usually q litlle bit late! Look at her nose..soo cute!

You will be missed…and love…she is now in a betetr place call Rainbow Bridge..where all bunnies runs freely and happily..without sickness..

Erdha’s being Hitched :D

I've always love capturing a portrait of a bride..pure

Today is Erdha’s wedding day..Who is Erdha? She is one of my (Miss Chestnut) best friend since college -

We’ve known each other in KMNS (Kolej Matrikulasi Negeri Sembilan)…I move in to her room and we became room mates.

After finishing matriculation, we further our study to UPM and was in the same faculty (Computer Science). Different is, I was majoring in Multimedia and she was in Software Engineering major (Same with Ayu).

And 3 of us..share the same rented house near UPM…

After graduation, we follow our own path…but we were never parted

And today..I attend her wedding..to share and witness one of the happiest day in her life.

I wasn’t the official photographer (as it was one of my friend being hired by her) but it never stops me from taking pictures of her and us People (without SLR) might feel intimidate when we took out our camera for pictures, but that’s our only camera..we doesn’t own a compact camera! So please understand

Bunnies update : What are they doing right now? Truffles is showing off her bunny loaf posture skill…and bugsy..is flat on his side..sleeeeeping

Let’s have a photoshoot!!!

It was a relaxing day for both of them…Each with their own agenda of the day.

Look at the big round white paw :D..honestly, I have difficulties finding Truffles

Look at the falling pellets that came out of his mouth! Didn't noticed it during the shoot!

YAWN!!! I should have shot this from the front view!

Never failed to amused me with his funny gestures!

Having these 2 boys really makes our life more interesting! And it seems like both of them have Mojo or something…they tend to do things in synch..example..when Bugsy is sleeping, Truffles is sleeping as well..when Truffles investigating the environment, Bugsy is doing the same thing too (eventhough he has investigate his area a thousand times!)

And Bugsy this time, not being cranky about having Truffles next door. He so far accepting him very well, no spray outside the cage, only few poops which considered ok. And he will thump if we turn our back on him when attending Truffles. So we are more careful now not to turn our back on him otherwise he will thump for attention! And best of all, he always greets us when we came near his cage…and asked for a pet Melts our heart as he is now seems like afraid we might forget about him since the boy next door seems so cute!

Don’t worry Bugsy, we love you and Truffles thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much

Welcome Truffles!

Meet our new addition in the family, Truffle

He stole our heart at the very first time we saw him on the internet. We felt that he’s the one during that time and might be the perfect best friend for Bugsy (hopefully).

A short visit this morning to Tim’s house (previous breeder) was indeed a fruitful one. He helped us calm Bugsy and even better put him under tranced!!! All of Bugsy’s life, we’ve never seen such a miracle where Bugsy being tranced and staying still in one’s lap!. How I wish one of us can do that!!! We learned more about the Holland Lop and rabbit stuff. His parents are very warm and welcoming

Here’s some of the first-snapshot of Truffle in Chestnut’s home. Picture of their well set-up cage. I think 50% of the home renovation was driven by Truffle and Bugsy where we want them to be cosy and comfortable!

And while I am writing this post, Truffle has woke up from his slumber and playing at the green hideout we bought for him this morning We hope you love your new home..and family…
